For first time exporters
Export Essentials can give you free help in assessing the readiness of your business for exporting. It You can also access free coaching, mentoring, and market research, and attend a one-day "Ready to Export" interactive workshop. Attached at the bottom of this webpage is a case study of Bath business Fox Gourmet Foods, who went through the Export Essentials programme. The programme is delivered by Business West, the Department for International Trade (DIT) and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
For more experienced exporters
More experienced exporters interested in exporting to Asia and Latin America can access the Extend your Global Reach suite of activity, which includes intensive coaching and one-to-one support, and facilitation of in-country specialist support.
The Department for International Trade run events across the South West throughout the year, covering subjects like 'exporting essentials for artisans" to "social media advertising". Visit their events page for more information and to book.
For food businesses
Are you a food business looking to export? Then the Great British Food Programme can connect you with hundreds of selected overseas buyers. You can access Meet the Buyer events as well as virtual trade fairs.
Enterprise Europe Network
A consortium of over 600 partner organisations in 40 countries, Enterprise Europe Network promotes competitiveness and innovation at local level in Europe and beyond. Within the UK and Ireland, 12 consortia of 31 business development organisations can help you take your business to Europe and the website features regional links for the most relevant information. Partnering with Business West and other organisations to provide comprehensive support to businesses.
