Arts Council Funding: Do You Support Creative Businesses?

11 Aug 2016

The Arts Council has funding of up to £400,000 to invest in organisations that support cultural and creative businesses.

The Business Support programme was designed to help the creative and cultural sector to become more self-supporting and resilient. The Arts Council hopes to improve understanding of how to do this, and what resources are needed, by engaging with partners to provide information on activities in this area.

Am I Eligible?

If your organisation isn't in receipt of National Portfolio funding between 2015-2018, and has a track record of business support within the creative sector, you could be eligible for funding. Read the Council's "How to Apply" page to access the guidance document, and think about how your application could contribute to the main aims of the fund:

  • Improving resilience in the creative sector by investing in readiness support
  • Improving the understanding of building financial resilience in the creative sector, including what resources are needed for this
  • Promoting co-ordination by engaging with partners, and providing information more widely on current activities

Applicants must then contact the customer service team in order to speak with an Arts Council England Senior Relationship Manager, to discuss their application in depth.

Once this is done, you can submit your application!

Deadline closes18th August 2016.
