You might have noticed a new road layout around the Riverside Coach Park, Corn Street and Ambury in Bath, which has replaced the old one-way system and Green Park Road.

The old Green Park Road will now form part of a waterfront destination with promenades, cycle and walking routes, places for wildlife, and outdoor public spaces (see artist's impression, left).

This new layout is one of the first steps towards an exciting and ambitious new mixed-use development on the North Quays site, which will include up to 200,000 sq ft of sought-after modern office accommodation, and retail and residential space.

North Quays will be linked by a new pedestrian bridge to South Quays - the old Stothert and Pitt site, which houses the old Newark Works site.  This side of the river will also offer upt o 40,000 sq ft of new office and studio space, and a new headquarters for long-standing engineering firm BMT Defence Ltd.
