Pukka Herbs to move to Keynsham
Chocolate Factory lettings gather speed
Agent Alder King (acting on behalf of St Monica Trust) has reported that 55,000 sq ft of employment space at the Chocolate Factory, Keynsham, has now been let.
One of the three former factory blocks being redeveloped by St Monica Trust, the Chocolate Factory will provide approximately 100,000 sq ft of office accommodation on completion in December 2017.
Pukka Herbs have signed up to take 17,000 sq ft at the site in a relocation from their current site in South Bristol.
Other lettings include St Augustine's Medical Practice, which will be relocating form its current premises in Keynsham, and another occupier (as yet unnamed) which has taken 30,000 of space (the fourth and fifth floors).
Interest remains high in the remaining 40,000 sq ft of space at the Chocolate Factory, which is being comprehensively refurbished and remodelled to a high standard.
The Chocolate Factory is part of St Monica’s Chocolate Quarter development on the famous Somerdale site, which is surrounded by countryside and well-served by excellent transport links. The development is a mixed use scheme which also contains assisted living apartments, and a care home as well as retail outlets and leisure facilities.
Tim Westwell, CEO & co-founder of Pukka Herbs, said: “Pukka has experienced extraordinary growth since inception in 2001 and has plans to continue this long into the future. It was therefore critical that we found an office space that could match our ambitions of improving people’s lives through the power of herbs whilst retaining our links with the Bristol area. The newly refurbished Chocolate Factory provides Pukka with an excellent solution and we are extremely excited to be taking occupation in spring of 2018.”
Acting on behalf of Pukka Herbs Andy Smith of Knight Frank added: “Pukka has been searching for the right home for the business for a number of years and it is great to have found a building with an environment reflective of the company desire for a green and sustainable surrounding with a specification and quality to allow the business to grow over the coming years.”
