Keynsham is a vibrant market town with a populaton of roughly 24,000 people, situated between Bath and Bristol. The town is well-connected by transport links and is undergoing physical transformation in the form of new housing developments, commercial space and the redevelopment of the high street's Town Hall, completed in 2014. The town holds a series of well-attended community events such as the Keynsham Music Festival.
Public transport provision for the Keynsham area is good, with rail, bus, road and cycle networks connecting the town with nearby Bath and Bristol and further afield. The town's train station is on the London-Bristol and Bristol-Southampton routes. The town is situated on the A4 and is connected to the major A4174 ring road connecting the town with Filton, and motorway networks.
