Link with businesses South of Bath
Midsomer Norton and Radstock are two market towns to the south of the District, both with active business communities. The towns were once the centre of a thriving mining industry, and as well having clusters of retail and business service firms in and around the town centres, cannow be described as being the industrial heartland of Bath and Norh East Somerset.
CFH Document Management, Sun Chemical, and Integrity Print are all large employers in the area. Several business parks and trading estates provide commercial space, including the Westfield Trading Estate in Midsomer Norton (the largest industrial estate in the District). The Wansdyke Business Centre in Midsomer Norton – managed by Business West – is also a centre for commercial activity and provides serviced office accommodation.
A membership group of over 90 local retailers and other businesses acting to improve the local trading environment, to promote the area as a place to do business., and to offer networking opportunities to its members. Activities include retail group meetings, high street initiatives, and local authority planning liaison on local planning applications affecting the area.
Campaigning for the positive and sustainable development of Radstock, RAG celebrates the inherited heritage of the area, and seeks to influence and lobby decision makers about key infrastructure and regeneration decisions which will impact on the future of the town.
