Tech companies in the South West will gather this December 1st at Bristol's Watershed for TechSPARK's Skills Festival; the largest independent student and graduate recuitment event dedicated to the South West Digital Tech Cluster.
Many of you will already be familiar with TED talks. The widely popular events began in 1984 as a conference for Technology, Entertainment & Design (TED), and today has blossomed into talks that cover a huge variety of topics in over 100 different languages.
This 4th November, the Low Carbon Team of Plymouth City Council- in co-operation with the FINERPOL Project- will hold a half-day seminar in London to examine the case for a new Energy Efficiency Investment Fund in England.
This September 29th, Bath College is launching the Bath Academy of Business, in a bid to give students valuable skills and industry experience.

Firms across the South West are finding recruitment difficult thanks to skills gaps. The recent LEP survey hopes to address this by advising policy development in response to business' needs. Bath College is leading the charge with its new Business Academy, which will work directly with companies to provide students with up-to-date, relevant skills that businesses need from employees.
Visitors and residents alike can attest to Bath's diverse and delicious food scene. From the creation of the "Farmer's Market" concept, to the famous Great Bath Feast, the city is all about celebrating its gastronomical prowess.
Bath Quays South is a project led by Bath and North East Somerset Council in consultation with BMT.
The project consists of the regeneration of Newark Works for use as creative workspaces; two new buildings for BMT and for use as residential/specialist office use; flood defences and river walls; and new public spaces.
