The West of England Combined Authority's (WECA) Peer Networks programme is back with a bang for summer 2021. Designed specifically for leaders of small and medium sized businesses, it's a free peer-to-peer networking programme complete with 1:1 support to help your business recover and grow.
SETsquared, a world-leading business incubator, alongside the University of Bath has launched a new business support programme aimed at small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the West of England interested in exploring how innovation to become more sustainable can benefit their business or who are already developing a sustainable technology.
The new West of England Sustainable Technologies Scale-Up Programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and will help accelerate the growth of 155 SMEs over the next 3 years.
Creativity Works are an award winning, registered charity based in Radstock in Bath and North East Somerset and have been since 2012, part of Arts Council England’s national portfolio of funded organisations. Currently, they have a Board consisting of 5 trustees.
Mental Health Awareness Week (10th – 16th May 2021) is hosted by the Mental Health Foundation. It’s the UK’s national week to raise awareness of mental health and inspire actions to promote good mental health for all. This year’s theme was #ConnectWithNature. Across the week Bath and North East Somerset Council shared local stories and projects on social media and inspired more people to connect with nature in a range of creative and digital ways.

Many of us have spent lockdown working from home, using our normal commuting time to keep mentally and physically fit by walking, running or cycling in our local area. As we return to work in the city, Bath’s Big Walk or Cycle to Work event encourages us to keep active during commuting time, for the sake of our health and our natural environment.
After three years at Twerton Park, operating out of our Charlie’s and Randall’s function rooms, CrossFit Bath is to move to a new home in Oldfield Park.
It’s been a successful partnership for both parties, contributing financially to the Club and bringing new people to the area for their health and fitness, while CrossFit has enjoyed a flexible space both indoors and out and been able to grow its business to the extent it now needs larger premises.
Bath Office Co.believe that the value in getting back out to work lies in creativity, collaboration and community. With all the last 12 months have thrown at us, their aim is to reenable all that is great about working away from the home!
