Free Carbon Surveys for local businesses

The West of England Combined Authority is offering free carbon surveys to SMEs in the region.

A Carbon Survey can support small & medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to understand their energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. The resulting Decarbonisation Report sets out potential improvements that could help reduce emissions and energy bills.

New business innovation grants

The West of England Combined Authority is offering businesses the opportunity to apply for grants of £20,000 or £50,000 to create new products, processes and services. 

Metro Mayor Dan Norris announced the latest cash on offer to innovate and grow at NuNano, a Bristol company which takes very high-res images of tiny objects that are nanometres in size. 

NuNano has previously benefitted from a £20,000 Business Innovation Fund award from the West of England Combined Authority to develop new products for the mini-photo industry.

Bath Christmas Market extended

Bath Christmas Market will be extended for an additional week as part of the council’s commitment to support stall holders and traders as they recover from the impact of Covid 19.

It is the first time in the market’s 20-year history that it will run for 25 days. This year it will launch with a residents’ night on November 24 and finish on Sunday December 19.
