New Low Carbon Hub for West of England
The University of Bath has been successful in a £750,000 European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) bid to set up a Sustainable Technologies Business Acceleration Hub in the West of England area.
The Sustainable Technologies Business Acceleration Hub is primarily aimed at supporting business growth in low carbon products, low carbon services, sustainable chemical technologies and the sustainable built environment. Applications are very welcome from anyone with an idea for a sustainable technology or low carbon business, or existing business owners looking for help to grow
The Hub will help establish and grow over 130 Small and Medium Enterprises over the next three years in Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.
The project will offer workshops to help new ventures get started and more tailored business support to help high-growth companies grow even faster. Participants will also get help in accessing investment, customers and R&D grant funding.
For more information about the Sustainable Technologies Business Acceleration Hub please visit their website at www.stbah.org: there is an expression of interest form on the home page for anyone with an interest in participating.
