The programme, run by Cool Ventures, offers 12 hours of business support delivered in one-to-one meetings, workshops and clinics. The support is free of charge to all residents of Bath & North East Somerset thanks to funding from Bath & North East Somerset Council and European Union.

Placements and internships are valuable opportunities for both businesses and students to mutually benefit from a period of work experience involving a defined, short-term project for a set period of time.
Employers gain from a cost-effective, flexible solution to solve a specific resource issue, or undertake an additional project, and benefit from fresh ideas. It is a low-risk opportunity to ‘try out’ future graduate talent.

The West of England Rural Development Programme (LEADER) is now OPEN for new expressions of interest until 4 October 2018. The programme has a limited amount of funding available and grants will be awarded on a competitive basis.
The University of Bath is to establish two new ‘business acceleration hubs’ for advanced engineering and digital innovation SMEs in the region.
Bath has been awarded £1.5 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to deliver start-up, scale-up, open innovation and investment support to grow 100 digitally innovative businesses and 130 advanced engineering businesses over the next three years.
